Born in Salamanca on 30 September 1950, married and with
four children, Ignacio Galán graduated as an Industrial Engineer
from the Engineering School (ICAI) of Universidad Pontificia
Comillas (Madrid). He also graduated in Business Administration
and Foreign Trade from ICADE at Universidad Pontificia Comillas
(Madrid) and in General Business Administration and Foreign
Trade from the School of Industrial Organisation (EOI) in
Madrid. He speaks English, French, Italian and Portuguese.
He holds the post of chairman and chief executive officer of Iberdrola
and chairman of the subholdings of the Iberdrola group in the United Kingdom
(ScottishPower), in the United States (Avangrid*, a company listed on the
New York Stock Exchange) and in Brazil (Neoenergia**).
He has run leading companies in state-of-the art industrial and technological sectors,
where he profoundly changed their profile and applied his far-sighted approach
and his ability to anticipate the new needs of the different sectors.
In 2019 Harvard Business Review selected him among the top five CEOs in the world.

He has worked with J.P. Morgan, Argentaria Bolsa, Banco de
Negocios Argentaria, Argentaria and BBVA.
Among other positions, he is currently chairman of
Iberdrola Inmobiliaria, S.A.U and Remunerations and Successions
Committee of Neoenergia S.A.
Agustín Delgado Martín
Chief Innovation and Sustainability Officer of the
Agustín Delgado (Spain, 1972) holds an MSC in Industrial
Engineering from the Escuela Superior Industrial (ICAI) of
Universidad Pontificia de Comillas in Madrid and a PhD in
Industrial Engineering from the Universidad Nacional de
Educación a Distancia (UNED). He has also completed the School
of Management Programme designed specifically for Iberdrola by
IESE and the Global Leadership Programme at IMD.
A professional with twenty years of experience, he began
his career in different companies from the rail and energy
sectors. He joined Iberdrola in 2006 as Innovation Director. In
2010 he was appointed Chief Innovation and Sustainability
Officer for the Iberdrola Group. He is also responsible for the
venture capital program in IBERDROLA (PERSEO), where he
coordinates PERSEO´s investment in technology companies related
to new sustainable energies and business models.

Dharik Mallapragada joined the MIT Energy Initiative in
May 2018. Prior to MIT, Dharik worked at ExxonMobil Corporate
Strategic Research, where he contributed to research on power
systems modeling, life cycle assessment and also led a research
program to study energy trends in developing countries. Through
his PhD and nearly 5 years of research experience in the
chemicals and energy industry, Dharik has worked on a range of
sustainability-focused research topics such as designing
light-weight composite materials, carbon-efficient biofuel
pathways as well as developing novel tools for energy systems
analysis. His research interests include the design of novel
energy conversion processes and their integration into the
energy system. At MIT, Dharik is working on advancing power
systems modeling tools to study questions around renewables
integration and economy-wide electrification.
Dharik holds a M.S. and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from
Purdue University. He received a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering
from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.

Currently Vice-Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the
National System Operator - ONS. She is a member to different
economic and social development organizations and has built an
uprising career in the Brazilian electric sector by serving high
leadership offices in major companies, such as Chef and
Eletropaulo. Also acted as a consultant in the National Economic
Research Associates, in Washington, DC.
